How It Works

The CaringFamily Connections Services uses the Internet to provide a very simple way for residents, family, friends and staff to communicate with each other.

Equipment at the Facility Color Laser Printer One button scanner Digital Mailbox Controller Card Display Digital Camera and instant photo printer Drop box for paper messages CaringFamily arranges for installation of all equipment at the facility The facility gets to choose the appropriate location for this equipment.

Resident Sends a Message Several ways to send messages Pick a card from the display Reply directly on the messages sent from family Use stationery - individual stationery is provided for each of the residents group members Be creative - Make your own card, include pictures, drawings, newspaper clippings, etc. Place the personal CaringFamily label on the message and put the message on the CaringFamily scanner. Press the Send button. In a flash the message is sent. Our system converts the message into a image file and sends it to the addressee via email.

Family and Friends send emails Email message are sent to residents using a special CaringFamily email address (i.e., Jane.Doe@caringfamily.com) No spam is allowed. All senders must be registered on the CaringFamily system or the email will be rejected. Include photos of events, vacations, graduations and more. Keep the resident up to date on activities at home. Use your camera phone to take a picture while you are out and about. Show your resident the funny pictures of your daily lives. Message for the resident are printed and delivered the next morning. There are literally thousands of free cards already created to choose from in our online store.

Members uses the web site to send a message to the resident Registered members log on to secure website View the archive of messages sent Send a ready-made card or create your own message Manage the member directory. Add new people, change email address, input birthdays. The family directory is provided to each resident in their binders and updated multiple times a year.
