How It Works

The CaringFamily Connections service combines two elements to produce the first truly simple online elder care service.

• For elders, CaringFamily's Magic Mailbox, a full color Internet-connected printer/scanner, enables the exchange of colorful messages with remote family and friends. Both incoming and outgoing messages are handled entirely on paper — no PC required. Simple to set up, use, and maintain, the Mailbox features a single button, requires only an existing phone line to operate, and is completely spam-, virus-, and outsider-free.
• For busy families, Connections’ private online service unites dispersed siblings and other caregivers, using their personal computers and other devices, in a "virtual caregroup" for the elder. The service automatically transforms family digital messages to paper, delivered on a regular daily schedule; the elder's written replies are converted to electronic form and instantly delivered to family via their existing email service.

There’s no additional technology investment required to equip senior care facilities with the Connections service. Most important, an innovative program of scheduled group projects - delivered under your name and brand – promotes more, and more frequent, dialog between your residents and their families, all without additional staff effort. Examples include family photo albums, recipe books, scrapbooks, and more.
